Coaching For Creatives: Work With Me

“Draw the art you want to see, start the business you want to run, play the music you want to hear, write the books you want to read, build the products you want to use – do the work you want to see done.”

How Coaching Works

Every creative person faces periods of uncertainty. Whether you’re navigating a complex project, wrestling with inner doubts, or simply struggling to make consistent space for your creative work, coaching for creatives offers structured, intelligent support. This isn’t one-size-fits-all advice. It’s deep, focused work designed to meet you where you are, and help you move forward.

I bring a dual perspective to this work, for I’m both an experienced therapist and an accredited coach. This isn’t therapy, of course, but the two strands often inform each other. While the focus is forward-facing, on your creative life, your work, and your goals, we may refer to or explore the  past when it’s shaped what’s happening now, or influenced how you see things.

In our work together you won’t be given a formula, or a generic plan. We both know that there are no guaranteed 5 steps to success. Creative work, like life, is uncertain. However, hard work, persistence, clearing inner obstacles as well as external ones, new insights, strategy and focused action can give you the best possible chance of success. These are what coaching with me provides.

Together, we’ll create a tailored framework that’s realistic but high-reaching and which reflects your ambitions, challenges, and the specific creative world you’re working within.

What I bring:

• A structured, grounded space
• Honest reflection and challenge
• Strategic thinking, rooted in experience
• A clear-eyed look at the realities you’re navigating, so real-life solutions can emerge

What you bring:

• Your goals, questions, and creative dilemmas
• Courage to see things as they are
• A willingness to apply insights between sessions and take meaningful action

Coaching For Creatives: Two Ways We Can Work Together

Some clients come because a project feels stuck. Others are navigating transitions, ambitions, or questions of creative identity. Whatever brings you here, we’ll work at depth, with clarity, care, and momentum.

1. Thinking Spaces

3 months of two 45-minute sessions per month (online only)

A focused space for reflection, strategy, and steady progress. You bring the questions, dilemmas, or vision. I’ll listen carefully, reflect back patterns you may not be seeing, and offer structure, tools, or challenges where useful.

Most of the talking will be yours, but you won’t be left to drift. These short, sharp conversations help clarify your direction and keep your creative compass steady, exposing where you are getting lost in all the reasons why you believe you can’t achieve something.

Who it’s for:

• Creative professionals who want a regular touchstone
• Writers, entrepreneurs, artists managing fast-moving lives
• People who think best through dialogue and skilled reflection

2. Creative Labs

Two 90-minute sessions per month, for 3 or more as appropriate (in-person in East London or online)

For significant projects, deeper patterns, or major creative shifts, this format offers the space to go further.

You bring what matters most: a project that won’t move, a vision you can’t realise, or an internal pattern that keeps interfering. Together, we untangle what’s happening, surface blind spots or deep-seated issues that are holding you back, and build clear, tailored steps forward. I bring reflection where appropriate, therapeutic insight, and (especially when it seems like you’re likely to get bogged down) a continual focus on what you actually want to achieve.

Who it’s for:

• Creatives undertaking long-form or complex projects
• Entrepreneurs developing new ventures or reshaping their work
• Professionals facing deeper internal blocks or recurring creative doubts

Why Three Months?

Real creative change needs both space and structure. A single conversation might spark insight, but sustainable progress comes from repetition, experimentation, and real-world application.

The three-month minimum gives us enough runway to:

• Surface what’s really holding you back
• Test new habits, perspectives, and behaviours
• Build real, lasting momentum

Some clients continue beyond three months. Others take what we’ve done and carry it forward. Either way, the work will leave you with something solid.

Getting Started

Step 1: Discovery Call

Start by getting in touch. We’ll schedule a free 20-minute Coaching for Creatives Discovery Call. It’s a simple, no-pressure conversation where you can share a little a little about yourself and what you’re looking for and I’ll ask a few questions.

Step 2: First Full Session

If we decide to proceed, we’ll arrange a full 90-minute coaching session, which is also free. This gives you a real sense of how the coaching process works, and whether the style and depth feel right for you. Towards the end of this session, we’ll progress to step three.

Step 3: Ongoing Work

If we both agree to continue, we’ll agree which price option suits you best and put a clear structure in place for regular sessions. This is enjoyable but serious work, and it works best when you commit fully: to showing up, to doing the work between sessions, and to maximising your investment in yourself.
